A number of years ago, when my husband and I first moved to Spencer from Worcester, we tried buying a house here. We were very young and money was tight. We went to a number of banks and were turned down. However, when we went to Spencer Savings Bank, they welcomed us with open arms. They gave us the mortgage and ever since then, we have done a lot of business with them and they have been terrific. We have done remortgaging with them and numerous car loans. Great bank.
